The history behind the Haras Ampascachi starts back in 1993 when a family of Salteña traditions acquires an eight-hectare property which has a beautiful colonial style manor house which was built in the middle of the XIX century and is located in the Valle de Traslasierra, in the province of Córdoba, Argentina.  From that moment on, the family made use of the house for recreational purposes and the breeding of Peruvian Paso Horses.

In the year 2004 all the premises of the property were remodeled into the Haras Ampascachi in the Equestrian Centre. We improved the conditions of a wonderful park, re-distributed some green areas, and adapt some places for breeding purposes and for training and animal exhibition, too. All changes made aimed at guaranteeing the well-being of the animals and improving the techniques and the professional work done during the breeding, taming, and training of the Peruvian Paso Horses.  Meantime, the old colonial manor house was remodeled and redesigned for welcoming all the visitors.

Passion and Tradition

Our passion and tradition about the Peruvian Paso Horses – easily seen at the Haras Ampascachi- is the reason why we work for offering the participants of the Riding Holidays of Ampascachi  Equestrian Tourism  and the students of the Equine Taming School all our knowledge and experience on the breeding, taming, and training of this incredible breed of horses. The possibility of sharing with others motivates us to do our best for guaranteeing the participants an unforgettable experience.
