DIRECTOR AT THE EQUINE TAMING SCHOOL
Nestor Imberti is a civil engineer by profession who has been a passionate breeder in the world of horses for the last 25 years.
His constant concern about understanding the world and horses behaviour has taken him to become a knowledgeable person in the field when referring to the breeding of Peruvian Paso Horses. He is a specialist in the principles of equine etiology and the theories based on the learning process of these animals based on conductivism applied on horses.
During many years, Imberti has participated and supervised the taming and training of more than 100 horses in the premises at the Haras Ampascachi. He has also contributed to the development of a scientific technique and a specific system for the taming and training of these horses as well as participating in the drafting of different protocols for taming horses from birth, currently used in the Haras Ampascachi Equestrian Centre.
CHIEF OF THE EQUINE TAMING SCHOOL AND THE BREEDING AREA OF THE PERUVIAN PASO HORSES
Pablo Imberti has more than twenty years of experience working at the Haras Ampascachi and related to the area focused on the breeding and taming of horses. Together with Nestor Imberti, Pablo has participated in the development of techniques and the drafting of the protocols which are based on the principles of Equine Etiology. He is currently working as Head of the Equine Taming School and Training Teacher of Tamers at the Haras Ampascachi Equestrian Centre.
His deep knowledge of veterinary applied to horses has taken him to become part of the professional team which represents the Haras Ampascachi as well as a professor of reference in all the subjects related to equine veterinary.
Another member of the team, Mr. Cortez combines his professional veterinary practice with time for playing Polo. This is a practice which integrates the horse and the rider even more and it has in fact given us more knowledge about the performance of these animals in sports.
Ramón Reartes is the farrier in chief at the Haras Ampascachi and one of the first tamers trained at the Haras Ampascachi. Besides, he has specialised in the field and has taught workshops on ironwork and the different techniques used for an adequate handling of the equine foot.
Mr. Reartes is part of our current team of work at Haras Ampascachi; besides, he is technical staff and great help at every taming practice at the Training School of the Equestrian Centre.
Manuel Mercado was the first tamer trained at the Haras Ampascachi. He is a person of great sensitivity and deep understanding of the equestrian world who, together with Ramon Reartes, has participated in the taming of more than 100 horses in the Centre. He is a coach to the students and he always collaborates with the different practices in the Equine Taming School at the Haras Ampascachi
Agustín Cortez and Pablo Reartes work together in the care and handling of the horses at the Haras Ampascachi. They are responsible for the nutrition, health condition and general care of all the horse stables. Today they are taking their training courses as tamers at the Equine Taming School at the Haras Ampascachi.
